In 2015, CHL with partner Mitchell and Associates, specialists in Urban Design and¯Landscape Architecture, were commissioned by Donegal County Council to advance on the interpretative strategy for the area with the explicit intentions to: develop Sliabh Liag as a flagship tourism destination; protect and promote the natural and built environment; improve the visitor experience, encouraging visitors to stay longer at Sliabh Liag and its hinterland. In 2017, Donegal County Council further commissioned CHL and Mitchell and Associates to prepare an interpretative strategy for Sliabh Liag. The purpose of the strategy was to review the current experience at Sliabh Liag and put forward a plan for how this experience could be enhanced for regular and occasional visitors through landscape interpretation.
